Dr. Vishal G. Warke, a distinguished scientist and accomplished leader, serves as the Director of R&D in the Cell Culture & Immunology division at HiMedia Laboratories. A medical graduate (M.B.B.S.) from the University of Mumbai, he earned his Ph.D. in Cell Biology and Molecular Genetics from the University of Maryland, USA, and was honored with the prestigious Medical Research Fellowship at the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research.

As a next-generation leader, Dr. Warke has significantly expanded HiMedia’s portfolio, pioneering divisions like Animal Tissue Culture, Plant Tissue Culture, Hydroponics, and biosimilar media development. His contributions include creating innovative products such as Serum-Free Media, Lymphocyte Separation Media, and Viral Transport Media for the global market.

A mentor to numerous biotech startups worldwide, Dr. Warke is known for his techno-savvy approach to manufacturing and R&D. He has spearheaded HiMedia's ventures into cultivated meat and 3D cell culture, scaling media production to meet global demands and setting up state-of-the-art facilities, including a cGMP unit in Nashik.

With over 20 peer-reviewed publications and recognition such as the "BIRAC Innovator Award 2020," Dr. Warke’s work in biosimilar media, T-cell receptors, and systemic lupus erythematosus is celebrated globally. He remains deeply engaged with premier research institutes and brings a multidisciplinary perspective, combining science with his interests in philosophy, history, and mythology.
